Built on a Simple Idea

We founded Composite IBCs to change that — creating a business that saves companies money while keeping reusable containers out of landfills. What started as a local operation has grown into a nationwide IBC supplier trusted by businesses across every industry.

Founded with a Mission
Composite IBCs was founded with a clear purpose: make IBC reuse mainstream. We saw thousands of perfectly reusable IBC totes being discarded after a single use and knew there was a better way. Our founders — experienced in industrial packaging and logistics — set out to build a company that would give used IBCs a second life while saving businesses money.
Starting from a single warehouse, we began sourcing used composite IBC totes from manufacturers, food processors, and chemical companies. Each container was carefully inspected, cleaned, and prepared for resale. From day one, quality was non-negotiable.
Small-Scale Reconditioning
Our first years were focused on building trust. We developed a rigorous reconditioning process that went beyond basic cleaning — replacing gaskets, testing valves, repairing cages, and pressure-testing every container. Word spread among local businesses that our used IBCs were reliable and affordable.
We invested in professional cleaning equipment, pressure-testing stations, and valve replacement tools. Our reconditioning process was designed to meet or exceed DOT and UN standards, ensuring every IBC we sold was safe for its intended application. This commitment to quality became our reputation.
Nationwide Sales & Buyback
As demand grew, we expanded our reach from regional to nationwide operations. We partnered with freight carriers across the country and established a logistics network capable of delivering IBC totes to any state. At the same time, we launched our buyback program — paying businesses for their surplus IBCs and keeping containers in circulation.
The buyback program was a game-changer. Companies that previously paid to dispose of empty IBCs could now sell them back to us. This created a sustainable supply chain: we purchased used IBCs, reconditioned them, and sold them to new customers — reducing waste and lowering costs across the board.
Parts, Accessories & Delivery
Listening to our customers, we expanded into IBC parts and accessories — valves, adapters, cages, pallets, liners, heaters, and more. We also built out our delivery and logistics capabilities to offer reliable, fast shipping on every order. Composite IBCs became a true one-stop shop for everything IBC.
Whether a customer needed a single replacement valve or a full truckload of reconditioned IBCs delivered on a tight schedule, we could handle it. We added custom labeling services, disposal and recycling options, and inspection services to round out our offerings.

Today, Composite IBCs processes over 10,000 IBC totes annually and serves customers in every state. From small farms and startups to Fortune 500 manufacturers, businesses of all sizes rely on us for affordable, high-quality used IBC containers and full-service IBC solutions.
